Bathroom Decorating Tips

As a homeowner who loves to renovate and repair everything in your property without the help of pros, you definitely have done a lot of DIY stuff on various areas of your home, including your kitchen, garage, roof, patio, and your lawn. However, you don't really spend that much time decorating your bathroom, right? But you have to understand that designing a small bathroom is actually quite fun, similar to when you're repainting your interior wall or rearranging your basement.

Here are some good and very simple tips for bathroom decoration that won't let you break any sweat at all.

1 - Your bathroom will definitely improve with a corner sink for a tumbler. This does not only save space but also give your bathroom a rather refreshing and innovative look. Know that even a pedestal sink will disrupt the traffic lane in a rather small space.

2 - Go for shower curtains. It may be more of a utility but it also adds some flavor in the space, especially if you choose shower stall curtains. They move back and forth, saving space when compared to a glass door that will move in and out. Also, know that shower-tub combinations are ideal for fitting in tight and small spaces.

3 - Aside from the fact that mounting a vanity above the floor will help improve how your bathroom looks, it also frees up space for you to be able to accommodate small stuff that you always wanted to put inside the bathroom.

4 - You can also extend the counter over the toilet. This kind of arrangement is feasible with a wood slab or even stone. With the extended counter, you are effectively creating sufficient space for some more items. Understand that this concept won't affect toilet placement. In fact, the look you will get is very clean and minimalist.

5 - By using a large scale peva pattern such as a wide stripe design, the eyes are actually deceived to believe that the space is bigger. Obviously, the square footage is the same but the bathroom will definitely feel and appear bigger.

6 - The shower door is not a practical design concept to any bathroom, especially those small ones. If yours has a literally tight condition, a glass panel might be a better solution compared to a glass shower door. By having it, you effectively keep the water in the shower and free up some elbow room in the process.

7 - Finally, when space is tight and at a minimum, you should consider mounting a towel bar on the shower door in order to keep towels within reach. Although you will have to store most of your towels in a linen closet, having one close to you while you take your shower is quite helpful.
